Covid: what changes from 15 June 2022

From 15 June it is no longer mandatory but only recommended to wear a mask in closed places, such as cinemas, theaters, concert halls and sports halls.
The Council of Ministers, on the other hand, decided to extend the use of the Ffp2 mask on trains, ferries and local public transport, in RSA and in hospitals until 30 September.
Unlike other means of transport, it is no longer mandatory to wear a mask on the plane, as it is equipped with ventilation systems such as to make contagion difficult.

As regards, however, the green Covid-19 certification, from 1 June 2022 it is no longer necessary for entry or return to Italy from the countries of the European Union and from other foreign countries, both for tourists and for Italians.
For those who intend to travel abroad, regardless of the destination and the reasons for the trip, it is always recommended to consult the ViaggiareSicuri website or the Re-Open EU portal of the European Union to check any risks and measures in force in the destination countries.

With the new provisions, the vaccine requirement for over 50s and other categories concerned up to now also lapses: school and university teachers, school staff, law enforcement agencies.
The vaccination campaign continues and the obligation remains in force until 31 December for doctors, nurses, health personnel and RSA, categories for which vaccination will be an indispensable requirement to work.
