Digital healthcare
The 6-Salute (6-Health) mission of the PNRR is divided into two parts: on one hand the network of closeness, intermediate facilities and telemedicine for territorial health care, on the other one, innovation, research and digitalization of the national health service.
The first one is intended to strengthen the services provided in the area thanks to the empowerment and the creation of territorial facilities and garrisons, the enhancement of home care, the development of telemedicine and a stronger integration with social health-care services. The second is aimed at the modernization of the already existing technological and digital facilities, upon completion and spreading of the Electronic Health Record, to the improvement of the Essential Levels of Assistance.
The reform will start with the definition, within year 2021, of structural, organizational and homogeneous technologies for territorial assistance to be adopted with the approval of one specific ministerial decree. The definition will follow by mid-2022 through a bill of a new institutional structure for prevention in the health, environmental and climatic fields, consistent with the “One-Health” approach.
