Italycare wellness and health is born: a portal dedicated to health tourism stakeholders, a sector that is worth 15 billion euros in Italy.
The initiative was launched by Federterme Confindustria, the reference organization for the country’s Spa companies (326 establishments that welcome 3.9 million customers every year) on the occasion of the “Health Tourism in Italy” conference held in Rimini in the ‘scope of Hospitality Day.
The purpose is to create an integrated system able to offer on one side hospitality, treatments and tourist services, and on the other hand to seasonally adjust the flows, enhance and make the key structures in the sector more competitive. The spa bonus is also part of this perspective, arriving on November, 08th: the measure will allow Italians to take advantage of the spa services for free, using a voucher of 200 euros. There are 250,000 vouchers available, for a total of 53 million euros of resources allocated by the government.
