Tourism: Bit 2023
2023 promises to be a record year for arrivals from abroad, with an increase of about 8% compared to the figure of the last five years. Arrivals will be concentrated mainly in the summer months.
This is confirmed by the surveys Enit, Unioncamere/Isnart presented at BIT – the International Tourism Exchange that is taking place in Milan in the pavilions of Allianz mico-, according to which they win the Italian lifestyle, food and wine and the artistic-cultural holiday.
According to the report Enit this year there will be in first place the Spanish with 14.6%, followed by the Americans (12.7%), ex aequo for Swiss and Austrians (12.2%), while arrivals from the United Kingdom will weigh for 10%.
The reasons for visiting Italy are 43% culinary specialities, clothing, travel experiences, followed by natural beauty and cultural heritage, respectively 38.9% and 32.8%. There are two types of holiday: at the seaside (36.8%) and among the cities of art (31.7%). In general, those who come to Italy tend to come back: about 20% of those who visited during the last 5 years, with peaks of 30% for the Swiss and the Austrians.
