America Latina, nuovi trend per il turismo internazionale

Latin America: New Trends in International Tourism.
At the recent LATA Expo 2025, the travel intelligence platform Mabrian (part of The Data Appeal Company, Almawave Group) presented a detailed analysis on the evolution of international tourism in six strategic Latin American countries: Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, and Ecuador.

According to UN Tourism data, these six countries accounted for 86% of international arrivals in the region in 2024, totaling 76.4 million tourists. These figures point to a fast-growing continent, rich in charm, biodiversity, and new opportunities for tourism industry professionals.

Five Trends Reshaping Trave

Mabrian’s analysis highlights five key trends that are redefining hospitality:

  • Expanding air connectivity: Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina are strengthening their routes; Peru and Ecuador are focusing on more stable markets, reducing dependency on volatile destinations like the United States.
  • Safety and satisfaction: Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Peru lead in overall satisfaction and safety, though there is still room for improvement in authenticity and service quality.
  • Seasonality and culture: Targeted promotions during shoulder seasons and a strong focus on cultural experiences, especially in Argentina and Brazil.
  • Personalized tourism: Itineraries combining nature, wellness, and culture are gradually replacing generic travel packages.
  • Alternative hospitality: Short-term rentals are gaining ground, and micro-itineraries are becoming more popular among families, couples, and solo travelers.
