One of the more active companies on the Italian market is Msc Cruises that this year previews to exceed itself reaching a total of 4,2 million passengers with an increase of 5% regarding the 4 million of 2023. This excellent result will be obtained from 16 of the 22 ships of the entire fleet, that they will reach the 14 distributed ports on the Italian coasts: Genoa, La Spezia, Livorno, Civitavecchia, Naples, Palermo, Messina, Bari, Brindisi, Ancona, Venice Marghera, Trieste, Olbia and the return of the port of Cagliari.
In 2024/25 MSC will continue to focus on the Caribbean, Northern Europe, the Middle East and the Mediterranean, striving to ensure a wide variety of travel solutions, for a growing market that requires excellent quality service.
MSC is active also in the production of new ships from cruise: it has recently invested approximately 3,5 billion euros for the construction of six ships Explora Journeys in collaboration with Fincantieri, assuring thousands of places of work in the ship yards and the induced one. The arrival of Explora I in the Mediterranean is one of the significant news expected for this year.
In 2025 MSC will continue to increase own fleet with the arrival of MSC World America, the second ship of the innovative class World and the third of the company fed to GNL (Liquefied Natural Gas). MSC World America will be based at Port Miami for its inaugural season, which will see the new Terminal of the Group MSC becoming the greatest in America North.
