Welfare: the person at the “center”.

In 2021, welfare in the company will take on a central role. Providers will be able to carry out their partnership service with the HR departments of companies with renewed attention. Fortune Italia recently interviewed Stefania Rausa, Marketing and Communications Director of Edenred, the French company that controls Easy Welfare, the market leader among providers in Italy.

The article gives the example of meal vouchers. During the lockdown, 40% of companies began providing meal vouchers to around 30% of employees, i.e., those who could continue to go to work. At the end of the lockdown, many companies resumed buying food vouchers and some bought twice as much to be able to compensate their employees for what they lost. Those in smart working perform the same tasks as before, the only difference is the location. The right of the worker therefore remains. In general, speaking of welfare, supplementary health systems are fundamental for national health. There will be new social needs linked to the developments of this particular period based on a new management of time, work and private life.
